I tapped the Landlord clone on Friday night, boy is it tasty. I think it’s exactly the same as the last batch, so we have the recipe dialed in just where it needs to be. I was surprised by the level of condition in the corny keg, as it was quite full and didn’t have any appreciable headspace to carbonate. Initially I intended to draw off a pint or two to give it some space to condition, but it was lively enough and very tasty, so I had a few pints. We didn’t have time to brew this weekend, as we went up to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to watch the Porsche Club Race. We racked the Boathouse Bitter out of primary into a firkin, though, keeping the yeast in the bottom of the primary fermenters and chilling them down for use next weekend when we brew another batch. The bitter dropped from 1.042 to 1.015, so it will be quite lively after a week or two in the cask. Dry hops was plugs of East Kent Goldings, three ounces total. Flavour out of the primary was quite nice, not a lot of fruitiness present.
